Can I be the first to say, "me too"?
I personally have offended the gods by loudly declaring that my 200q gets sucky
mileage compared to my GTI. (Twice the power, half the mileage - who'd have
thunk it?) So, a week after purchase the "other" windows (not the driver's, the
other three) work intermittently - took off the armrest and jiggled the
switches, they worked, put it back on, they didn't, drove it the next day, they
did. That's intermittent for you. The *lights* in the other switches also don't
work - didn't notice this at night before as I was trying to see the road with
sucky-to-the-max(TM) DOT headlights. The Bentley still has not arrived, but I'm
thinking the non-privileged-window-operator lockout might have something to do
with this problem since all three of the lockable-outable windows experience
the same failure or lack thereof.
ALSO, (main reason to pull the door panel, from what I've been reading) the
alarm doesn't arm/disarm from the driver's door any longer, still works from
the passenger door. Hello, little indexing wheel with one funny half-tooth.
Unfortunately I do not have hands the size of a small child, so pulling the
outer door skin might be the way to go.
Would also come in handy for the eventual Bozo speaker replacements.
