The late '84 to mid '87 Coupe GT used a 2.22L engine (code KX) that was
nearly identical to the JT engine on the 4Kq. The only difference was
the exhaust manifold, which allowed the 4Kq engine to make 5hp more (115hp)
than the Coupe GT (110hp). Since Saqib has the 4Kq manifold from his
old engine (assuming it was not damaged), he should install it if he uses
a Coupe GT engine as a replacement.
And yes, the 2.22L Coupe GT (2.3L as well, I believe) has the noisy vacuum
pump, although this isn't really needed on these cars (i.e. you can
remove the vacuum pump without serious side-effects).
Now, if you are talking turbo quattro Coupe ('82-'85) or Coupe quattro
('90 and '91) engines, they would be much harder to install, but it has
been done before with an ur-quattro engine.
