Minivans

Thanks for the translation, Phil, but until you disillusioned me I had
gleefully noted that these eccentric Americans must regard Minivans as
quaint and highly desirable early English motoring antiques, and had visions
of having the rusted-to-the-core (is there any other kind?) example in our
garage shipped over there in a container alongside the UK's stocks of
Georgian furniture and Worcester porcelain, in exchange for $$$$$$.
Never mind, it makes a spacious, if immobile, toolbox.

Ah. No. There are two different entities - 'minivans' and 'Minivans'.
The former is a North American aberration. The later is the cargo-carrying
(don't laugh) version of Alex Issigoni's famous 'Mini' - two small seats in
a
small compartment welded onto the front of a steel shoebox, preceded down
the
road by a 1000cc engine.
