Add seat heaters?

I recently purchased a 1991 Coupe Quattro.  It's a great car, but
unfortunately it did not come with heated seats.  The leather is stiff and
cold, and it's only October in North Dakota.  I can only imagine what it
will be like at 25 below!

Is it feasible to retrofit seat heaters?  I assume that the wiring is
already there, and only the switches and heating elements would need to be
installed.  If anyone has any experience with this, or can quote an
estimated cost for the parts, I would appreciate it.
