Re: Audi 80 5+5 engine probs
XXFuel Filter. When you drive on a rough road, the invading
particles are stirred up and get lodged in the filter screen. It then
takes a while of sitting with the fuel pump off to let those particles
drift
down and settle in the bottom of the filter. You can check to see if
I'm
correct by taking the filter off, being careful to keep as much fuel as
possible in the filter. Then cap both ends (with your fingers), shake,
and poor and blow fuel backwards through the filter into a clean drain
pan
or onto a clean piece of concrete. You will probably see a lot of
small particles of rust and, if so, you can be almost certain that
the problem will be solved by replacing the filter.
Back on da farm, we yoosta make a filter last a little longer 'til we
could
git back ta town for a new one.
Good luck
