as i recall, unix mail from a shell (telnet) doesn't _show_ you if you're
attaching the original message--heck, doesn't even show you what you've
written if there's more than a screen full--you kinda have to know what
you're doing--most non-techs (and many tech types) couldn't figure out
.mailrc or the dot commands if their life depended on it. OTOH, the
Wintel-based mail programs I've used give you easily accessible options for
including original messages or not, AND show you what it'll look like
before you send!
oblig Audi content: after more days of work travel, its awfully nice to
get back behind the wheel of my q--far cry from the dumpy Neons they rent
(at least it wasn't puke purple this time)
