I'm full of crap, second to admit it.
Hey Randall, get your calculator out, and do what I did. What does it tell
you? You are missing the big picture, and denying math and physical
properties of motors and turbos that any non/"guru" has at their disposal,
and most formulas YOU admittedly have in your library. All these formulas
either say something of the CLAIM or the MOD. I'm an idiot, me, I'll claim
that all day long. Corky Bell is your Guru? Fine, then use his formulas,
they are simple and don't take a mechanic to do them. I gave out what you
can read in a whole bunch of books. You do need to understand them, however.
Here, let me help you, get my post and a calculator:
Pressure Ratio: page 26
Airflow Rate (no mods necessary) baseline: page 27
Airflow Rate boosted: page 28
IC heat transfer: page 49

Let me know where I screwed up, Randall.

Not calling you a liar, I'm just mathmatically and physically putting claims
into formulas. Mr. S2 has "defined" fast for me, with the givens (26psi,
16psi first gear, 1325EGT, 2.5bar PT), and a calculator. What have I missed?
I don't claim to be a Guru (unless a calculator and filling in 'x' makes me
one). The stuff I charge for is described by my "evaluations", turbo MAPs,
and the first paragraph of page 23 of Maximum Boost. It's a good book
Randall, I encourage you to read AND understand it.

Lap times at Gateway? Conclusion is: Eric had a faster lap time 2years
ago, at his "home" track, super. A faster car? Is that the same thing? On
a course that no longer exists, and with 2 cars that no longer have the same
mods? Ok, I now understand your thinking.

Randall, if you, with Maximum Boost, can give me the exception to any math
presented, please do educate me. The rest is hot air, by definition.

Math is cold and objective. Sorry if you and a few others take it the wrong
way. Calibrate your butt to something, please. Your post on the evaluation
was never really addressed. My "claims vs math" has only to do with the
claims of the cars owner. Your original post was irrelevent. Fast was only
in relation to the same car. Better than before? Ok.

Where you aren't orating clearly or effectively, is with the defense of the
mods, and of the Claims made. And you have a book at your disposal that will
walk you thru EXACTLY what I posted. What questions does it raise in your
mind?
