Automatic antenna replacement

Hi List!
I've disassembled my broken automatic antenna and discovered that the
cable is broken. Since the cable does not look like something that could
be obtained easily and disconnecting the cable from the antenna mast
turns out to be real PITA (it seems to be assembled with old German
saying "sicher ist sicher" in mind), I decided to just buy a new one for
$30 at a local automotive store. It's made in Italy and looks
suspiciously alike the one shown on the color insert near the page 65 of
my owner's manual :-) Fits good, but is much longer than the old Fuba.
The car looks somewhat funny with 1 meter long antenna ;-)
