Got more boost!!!!

I finally did and right this time. In a previous posting I told about how
I ran a hose from the bottom side of the wg to the top. It, in effect,
stalled the wg. What I did then was I got two 6 ft lenghts of vac hose and
a valve from Home Depot. Plumbed the valve in between the top and the
bottom, opened it a quarter turn, Voila!! 1.9 bar. I could get more or
less. The limit I set on opening the valve before the boost gets excessive
is about 2/3's of turn. It really is not only to get more boost, but it's
great to reduce turbo lag. I am very careful with it's use in first and
secind gears. On the highway, I don't need to downshift the trans for 3 to
2 anymore because the lag is reduced by that much. I can also bring up
higher or full boost much faster driving around. To make it clear and
avoid as much controversy as possible, I use it mainly to reduce lag!

P.s.- I could give an exact explanation of why turbo lag is reduced, but I
don't have a lot of time. Basically, the wg diaphragm rises enough for
lower boost levels and then stalls. Allowing Higher boost as you go on.
