for years at idle ... so far so good!

I just installed a WP/timing belt/idler pulley [and lifters] in the 
'88 5kCSQW early this morning.  I forget the name of the manufacturer 
of the pump, I purchased it from Carlsen and it is not Graf and is 
made in Germany.  When I fired up the engine (wow, I got the dist 
timing right on the first try!) and let it idle for a while I heard 
the same sound.  I'm thinking that it is the fact that i probably 
overtightened the timing belt.  Yes, I believe that I can twist the 
belt 90 degrees, but I do tend to really tighten belts.  

Those new lifters made a world of difference ... too bad I still 
have an exhaust leak when the engine is cold!
