Broken finger(s)
>Another nice injury you can give yourself for practically no cost while
>working on the brakes is:
A friend of mine was replacing the front calipers, rotors, pads and lines
on his late 80's Bronco, with his wife assisting by pumping the brake pedal
"on demand" while he was bleeding out the air. I don't remember all the
details, but one of the front pads had come loose, he yelled "stop", she
did, then he started to realign the pad with his fingers. Screaming a
swear word at the stubborn pad, his verbage was mistaken, and his wife
pushed the brake pedal.
My friend's finger required quite a few stiches, and experienced some nice
swelling. The beauty of the story, is he didn't blame his wife, but
himself, as all of us on-lookers agreed, wounded finger or not.
