Heh, depends on the car - the 200q is a lot quieter than the GTI. As for
exhaust music driving near walls - isn't that exactly what the express-down
feature on the driver's window is for? Which reminds me, I haven't tried my
favorite 2nd-gear tunnel in the 200q yet, it's a blast in the GTI (2.25"
stainless cat-back). The 200q has a mean growl, very nice.

Well, I have just spent "approximately" this amount on stuff to replace all the
Bozo parts on my 91 200q: Kenwood eXcelon pre-out-only head, 10-changer, USA
4x80 amp, Polk db separates for door/dash and 6x9s for the back.

I'm hoping the 5" woofers fit in the door enclosures, but they are listed as
3/8" deeper than the listed depth of the enclosures (Crutchfield catalog) - I'm
thinking the enclosures look a bit deeper from the several times the door has
been apart lately - so if they fit there, ->should I block or not block the
enclosure ports<-? If they don't fit, I will try to cram both woofers and
tweeters in the dash openings - tweeters are listed at 2 3/16" and there is a
2" hole in addition to the 5" hole in the dash locations (currently lacking any
Bozo residents). Any BTDTs here?

Personally, I'm waiting for more volume in the DVD market before getting
more/fancy home stuff. Ya, could be waiting a while...
