EXHAUST answers and a question

In answering the question about the 200 system, on that car I'd opt for
stock, unless someone has found a reasonable substitute that doesn't hurt
power or be too loud.

Which brings me to my question. On my 84 4kq, I replaced the exhaust with a
2.5 inch piping and a 3 chamber flowmaster in the back. I get rasperries
like crazy, right around 3-4k rpms. Anyone have experience with flowmasters
on audis? I have to get rid of the racket and was thinking about putting
some sort of resonator upstream of the muffler.
