Are all H-4's created equal?

I am planning on purchasing a set of H-4 replacement for the DOT lights
in my 84 4KS Quattro.  It has the 4 rectangular lights (well Audi calls
them that) up front. Is one reputable brand better than another
reputable brand, i.e. is Bosch better than Hella or Ciebe(sp?) etc...? I
don't want to go to the expense and labor to install Euro lights, I just
want to yank out the sealed beams and install some H-4's. I do want to
avoid buying the worst brad available (I'm good at that) or paying to
much for a brand that is functionally no better than the others?
