I was sitting quietly in a traffic jam on one of the bridges over the Main into 
Frankfurt one day.  A fully-grown swan came downriver at nought feet and lifted 
to clear the bridge.  He didn't see the overhead tram wires.
 
He landed smack in the middle of the bonnet, pushing it in about three inches.  
He also crapped himself, and a swan carries a lot of ballast.  Then he got up, 
hopped off, and wandered off down the sidewalk in the general direction of the 
city centre, swearing to himself and hissing at anything that moved.

Fortunately I was able to cite the crew of a police car as witnesses for the 
insurance claim.
