New Hakkapelitta's ! Yee-Haw!

Hey Gang,

  Just dropped $1,000 on 2 full sets of Hakke 1's. A full set for my wife's
Nissan (175/70-13), and a full set for my new Grand Prix (225/60-16). Yes,
no longer have a Quattro in the stable. Ran the Blizzak's on my '87 4kcsq
for three years before selling it this past Spring. They had good straight
line traction in that application for only the first year. After that,
completely sucked! In adiition, as others on the list have mentioned, they
had very spooky handling. These new Hakke's are definitely the meats to
have on for dedicated snow travel. My front-wheel drive GP (w/traction
control and abs) handles way better than the Q ever did with the Blizzak's.
  The GP came with Goodyear Eagle LS all season. Been surprised at their
solid grip and handling in the rain, but our first snows here in MN made it
obvious that they were nothing but slicksters in the snow. Totally
dangerous! The kicker, is that the Hakke's run 100% quieter than the Eagles.
What a fun day it has been!!!!!
