1991 90 diags

Gday fellow Audi enthusiasts.
Months ago I enquired about dumping ICU error codes, but to no avail.
Few people emailed me privately asking me if I find out to let them know.
Well last weekend I found the magic spot.
My car is 1991 Audi 90, NG motor, right hand drive, I am in Australia.
Bentley talks about diag connectors under the dash or sticking a spare
fuse into fuel pump relay and watching the diag light blink on the
dashboard.
Well, neither of these procedures were of use in my car, since my car has
no diag terminals nor the diag light on the dash.
Here is what I do,
Take a car for a drive, above 3000rpm@full throttle.
Stop the car in the driveway but do not switch the engine off,
open the boonet,
open plastic fuse cover,
remove fuel relay cover,
connect 12v light bulb using alligator connectors to the fuse holder
terminal of the fuel pump relay, on my car its the one further away from
the engine, and connect the other wire from the light bulb to +12V of the
battery.
Using the screwdriver short the fuse terminals on the fuel pump relay for
4 secs.
And watch the light blink.
Resultant error codes are in Bentley.
I am sure suitable adapter can be manufatured as to not to remove the
relay cover each time.
