4KQ inconsistent rpm

Hi all, 

I recently bought a '87 4KQ have experienced the following problems 
and need some advice from you Quattro experts.

1.  The car idles at about 1K rpm but sometime after some city 
driving, it revs at near 2K.  I think it is too high without the AC 
on.  Also, the car jumps because the high RPM.  I hope this is not 
the infamous sudden acceleration problem.  

2.  When I have the heat on, the center vents blow cold air while two 
side vents blow warm air.  Any reason for this?  

3.  The power sunroof is very slow to close, should I use lubricant?  
What kind?  I have some grease that I use on my racing bicycle, would 
that work?  

Lastly, could anyone suggest a reputable Quattro repair shop in North 
NJ/NYC/LI area?  Thank you for your help in advance.
