In the UK the MB/RR change was during 1989 I believe.
Top book price for a 1990 20v is 11kGBP but if you can find one at that price 
you are VERY lucky indeed. The asking price can be anything from 13kGBP 
upwards to over 20kGBP - yes, I really did see one advertised at that price 
earlier this summer. There are two 88 MB's for sale in this months UKQOC news 
letter, one @13,250GBP and the other at over 15kGBP.

As for the 83 - I cant say. In the news letter there are -
 82 at 6250GBP
 85 at 7500GBP (once owned by Nigel Mansell)
 85 at 5700GBP
 86 at 5kGBP
the 81 Ur-q slated by Andrew Everett in Decembers Volkswagen Audi Car is in 
the news letter too, but has no asking price.
