And we haven't even met in person :)
I would only add:
-you have two single drive, 3-motor, 3-head tape decks, coz you think
that the read/write head in a single deck with auto-reverse can never
achieve that precise azimuth alignment.
-you take your sys to your lab on a Sat evening just to optimise the bias
setting to the tapes that you use for recording.
