'91 200q articles

Many thanks to Chris Miller and Peter Kraus (Peter I lost your e-mail
address) for the various copies.

After reading the Nov. '90 article from C&D (written by Larry Griffin), I
must beg the indulgence of all listers for replaying its final paragraph.
This _must_ have been written after a test drive that was the occasion for
frequent changes of undershorts. I quote:

*******
"Audi has a right to feel great. The prototypes of the 200 Quattro [20V]
feel as fleet and graceful as wisps of cumulus clouds playing Maypole with
the peaks. The cars have reacquired that essence of Audiness, that purity
of control that turns driving into glissandos of motion through a sylvan
and even silvery world. That would be December in Aspen, a time preceded by
the classic, brassy-gold costume change of the trees themselves. Many of
the 970 four-wheel-drive, twenty-valve turbos to be sold as '91s will
surely turn up for Christmas in Colorado. Perfect mounts for playing among
America's Alps."

Whew!

'91 200q...The Ebony Glissando. Or is that Michael Jordan?

P.S. The guy also thought it was a bargain at $42,400!
