New plan:

I have an 87 5000SQ. It is the N/A I5 with CIS-E-III (I think I got that
right)
with 130 hp. I also have an 84 5kt parts car with 140 hp. What dreadful
things
might occur if I put that turbocharger on the 87 and backed off the
wastegate
to only allow a tiny bit of boost (1.1 atm is what I'm thinking). The
goal of
this would be to achieve closer to 100% volumetric efficiency without
causing problems with not having sodium filled exhaust valves. I know
VW used low pressure turbochargers on some diesels and I believe
the 1.8 T 5-valve engine in the A4 is low pressure too.

Someone please comment without flames.

Thanks,
