RE: Chip in windshield... Quick Repairs?




The quick repairs will not make your chip totally disappear.  What they
will do is to make the chip less noticeable and will stop the
propagation of cracks from the chip.  The latter requires drilling a
hole through the glass before filling and probably means the patch is
done by a professional.  There are lots of companies doing the epoxy
chip repairs.  Most insurance companies will cover repairs of this type
with no deductible since it saves them the cost of a new windshield when
a crack propagates from the chip.  Check with your insurance company.
