They (the "Novus" method) use an epoxy with the same index of refraction as
glass.  This means that the resin is indistinguishable from the glass.

The only thing you will see is any dirt that got in there before repair, and
any air remaining from a sloppy repair.  This is a good incentive to get it
repaired right away - the sooner it is repaired, the less dirt will probably
get in there.

There are kits available to do it yourself, but I'd recommend paying a
professional to do it for you.  Around these parts, they will come to your
car (at home, work, etc) and repair it on the spot, and it's not expensive.
