My 200 Quattro needs a makeover, Many ?
I just picked up my 200 from the body shop, after a year and a half of
repairs (NO THANKS TO LIBERTY MUTUAL INS CO.). I have set aside a few bucks
for some necessary repairs and upgrades........
Timing belt, tune up, shocks, tires, brakes,.....the usual.
On the other and, I have a few oddities (audish) that need to be addressed.
My entire dasboard display including my speedo, isnt working or is working
improperly. Should I replace the entire dashboard unit, and if so where to
find one. I also am debating as to whether to just buy new tires or to find
a cool set of rims / tires from a lister who might be willing to part with
them. My sunroof is real sluggish too, what is the easiest way to fix that
problem? How often do I need to replace shocks, because it has to be at
least 40k since being done and my right rear is sitting funny. Where can I
get a good alignment? All of the wires in the door need to be patched up
too, they have come apart. I want to purchase a radar detector , and I
admit, it is not my specialty, any recommendations. I would really like to
permanently hard-wire it in as well. My trunk doesnt want to lock for some
reason, Am I doing something wrong? My seat heaters dont work, and I noticed
the wires right behind the switches are melted, is that normal? My
windshield washer pump isnt working, is that expensive to replace? I have a
hydrolic leak at the resovior, I think its the hose, and not the plastic
resovior. The fuel pump will need to be replaced too, its buzzing.
Anyway, obviously I have a bunch of things that need to be repaired so I can
keep this car for a while, but I need the help of good advice, and a good
recommendation for prices and or a mechanic in Massachusetts. Thanks in
advance for any advice, and if anyone is interested in meeting to compare
notes, I live in Saugus, Ma.
Then there is always the question........should I sell it as is?
