Re: engine dies on hot day
On my 85 5000, I was driving across Nebraska with a low tank of fuel with
the cornbelt mandatory 10% ethanol. It started to cut out on me and I
made
it to the next truck stop where I filled it with fuel and had to wait
about a half
hour to get it going. (Tried everything, bleeding fuel lines, etc.) It
was quite hot
as it was mid-June. Two and a half years later, the pump died.
My questions to you would be:
Is there any alcohol in your fuel?
How full is your fuel tank?
Hope this helps. I'm curious to read other responses.
