New A4TQ - crummy dirty brake pads ! +

I just brought home a new ' 97 A4TQ..............2 things really bother me :
1. Why, besides cost and softness-for-wear, do manufacturers ruin the
appearance of their autos by using a dirty brake pad. After a nice detail
clean-up, you drive to the store and back and the car looks ugly due to the
wheels being black. Am I the only one who hates this ?..........I end up
just washing the wheels every 3rd day to have a clean looking car. Does
anyone know if a dustless pad for the A4 is availible ? On my 914 I went to
a Ferodo pad and it works great.....even after a driver's school, no black
dust.
2. Someone - dealer? - added a front license bracket to the front bumper.
Well in PA we do not use front plates so...... I wanted to remove the
bracket to have a nice clean looking front end......................I was
shocked to see how Audi engineered the installation of this
bracket..........By cutting holes, then haphazardly rounding them out, in the
front bumper cover !!! So now I'm stuck with 3 uneven-rounded-out holes,
each the size of a quarter on the face of the bumper cover. Looks horrible,
you could imagine...............any solutions ?, besides the obvious ones?

Thanks for the help.............
Sincerely
