Re: Why does the (steering) wheel wobble?

I had this problem about 2 weeks ago and it had been going for about
1.5 months. I had the wheels aligned. The problem was still there,
it felt like the car was on water. I had the wheels balanced and
the problem went away, or was at least less noticeable. This morning,
surprise-surprise, I got the wobble and water again. My CVs are not
new, they were recon'd when I bought the car. I would also like to
know if these wobbly symptons are indicative of a CV packing up.
When I absolutely floor my machine (ok, when I accelerate hard) my
entire front section vibrates, but the vibration is not constant,
it shudders then backs off and sudders again. I'm wandering if this
is engine mounts or CVs. A VW/Audi mechanic whom I think is an
excellent guy said he can hear one of the CVs packing in.

So, I'm also watching this thread now. Might as well hear if anyone
is also getting major shudder from the wheels on hard acceleration.
