Probably right. This explains one of the reasons that Audi kinda
rushed the '89 model year 100's. My '89 100Q is actually a build
date of April, 1988. I suspect that they wanted to move forward
as quickly as possible and sell them as '89 100's rather than as
'88 5000's.
