Brake and Fuel Lines...

I would like to drive my '86 4kcsq home for x-mas.  About a 15 hour drive.  I
looked under the car recently and the brake and fuel lines look a bit corroded.
 They look like they have pimples all over them.  Is this bad?  How bad?  Can I
replace them myself?  How painful would it be?  Are stainless lines available?

Any info. would be greatly appreciated!!!
