Hi Phill.
I live in New Jersey and own 83 URQ. On November 20 I went to England to
spectate the RAC rally. Folowing that I went to visit all the famous URQ
shops in UK. My first stop was AM Cars. Than I visited Dialynx and than
Quattro Sport. Most impressive at Quattro Sport was perficiency
of propriator, Kim Collins in installing 20v motors into URQ cars.
He has multitude of used parts he will sell for such project. He showed
me his latest conversion of convertible coupe to 20V turbo quattro.
He welded rear floor section from S2 or such into his shell to accomodate
rear diff. All the work was done using Audi parts and appeared very neat
and professional. He alsow showed me an 83 URQ that recived 20V motor and
was pumped up with reprogrammed ECU and Dialynx water to air charge
cooler. Incidentally Dialynx advcated use of ERL water injection which
they use even with CIS(it comes with MAP sensor, throttle potentiometer
and intake temp sensor and allows 3 dementional programming of water
injection). I think Kim Collins is the man to consult for a good 20V
transplant.
If I have any time left after rallying may be I will do 20V transplant on
my car.
