Shift Knobs, your wife, and other nonsen

Couple things:

I posted this a while back and got one response that did not apply to my
car, but my '93 S4 is screamin' for a new Momo air leather shift knob and I
still need to know how to get the boot off, as I want to modify the
structure to allow the knob to sit as low as possible. Any help?

After years of bringing my wife along to Porsche club Tech Sessions she has
started to share my affinity for large red 4 piston aluminum calipers and
cross-drilled brake rotors. So much so in fact that she is ok with me
putting a set on the S4. BTW bringing your wife to the tech sessions is a
sure fire way of making the cover photo of the local newsletter.

Also recently dropped the $140.00 for a gtechpro, this thing is a blast and
I will be using it to test all future modifications to the S.

Finally does anyone know of a source for MTM chips for the S4, I've been
told that they build boost more quickly than the others (can anyone confirm
or deny)??? I am much more interested in torque curves than I am in
horsepower figures for all the chip and RS2 turbo sets that are being sold
out there. Anyone know where I might be able to get my eyes on some bhp and
torque graphs? TIA.

I think I'm finally swaying Angela to my obsession (Audis :-)

Last night we were in my 100Q (which used to have a broken shift
knob). She noticed I have a new knob, and exclaimed "You SUCK!"
I said, "what, did you buy me a Momo Anatomical for Christmas?"
To which she replied "Not any more!"

After years of laughing at me for liking cars....
