Requiem / Bridgestone event

Hello all,

Driving around Denver yesterday evening and here is the scene:

Road is basically a sheet of ice, covered with about half a centimeter of
snow.
Driving the 4000 csq (buyer hasn't flown out to pick it up yet) center diff
locked, studded gislaved nordfrosts, euro headlights & PIAA 90 Pro fogs
providing illumination. In a word the traction, the control, the safety
 were...

Glorious, stupendous, phenomenal (ok maybe three words).

But while I was out and about in the inclement weather the one thing that
made me feel safer than the hardware I was sporting was the fact that I
attended the quattro club event up at Steamboat Springs earlier this year.
It was A) a blast and, more importantly B) a tremendous learning experience.
Even if you can't make the actual quattro club event, Bridgestone has the
school open for the better part of winter (hell if you go another time your
friends from the club won't see you flying into the snowbanks). As Ferris
Beuhler once said, "It is so choice, I highly recommend," it.

All the $$$ we spend on go fast (and stop fast) goodies for our vehicles is
just that, for our vehicles. IMHO it pays to divert some of those funds to
something that makes every vehicle you drive safer. Oh yeah and did I
mention that it's a blast?

Anyway, my condolences to all of the quattro owners that have had vehicles
depart us (the timing belt one really hurts, I think I'll schedule an
appointment to get the S's changed very soon). What is that they say? It's
only money or only a car, or something like that.

                         Enjoy,
                         Buy snow tires
                         Be safe
                         and have fun,
                         Frank Amoroso '93 S4

P.S. Anyone have snow tires for sale that will fit my stock S4 wheels?
