big wheels on Audi

Not necessarily applicable to the actual car or wheels in question, but
keep in mind that no matter how long the shocks/struts/springs are, and
how high your car is, the wheels fit underneath the spring perch. So,
you can only go so big in wheel size before you hit the perch. The
perch
will stay the same in relation to the hub no matter how high the car is.
For example, on a uh, Saturn, you cannot put snow chains or cables on
the
wheels, because there is very little clearance above the tire underneath
the perch. They have this unique, proprietary Spikes-Spider (brand
name)
thing that attaches to the outside of the wheel and doesn't interfere
with
the clearance.
Just a thought.
You can't really put "longer" struts on the car anyway, they have to fit
in
the strut housing. At least the "body" of the strut can't be any
longer.
