Inboard brakes (was: 100LS)

Well when I was back in the U.K. in 1980 I had an Alfa
Romeo Alfasud that bad inboard front brakes (as did the
previous few model years).  The hood opened from the rear
and you could lean over the fenders and work on the brakes
- no problem.  Man I loved that car ('til I wrapped it
around a pile of steel plates at some road works just past
a slick corner one winter night!).  Only two years old
and already rusting through the wheel arches.  Italian
cars - gotta love 'em.
