My so called "dealer" (long)

I just got my '93 90S back today from the dealer. It was in having the
air-bag recall service done to it. It was suppose to be done two weeks
ago, but "they didn't have the kit".

I dropped it off Friday evening, so it could be serviced first thing
Saturday morning. Well, after hearing "they didn't know what kit they
would need for my car until they got the steering wheel off". they told
me that they didn't have the part and would get it Monday (never mind
that I called to see if they had the correct part, they told me they
did, and they were putting my name on it). Yesterday (monday) we had our
first big snow storm that messed everything up, so according to them
"they couldn't get the part until later in the day because of the road
conditions".Needless to say I didn't get the car. I'll let this one pass
because it was pretty messy out on the roads.

So I go to get it today. I didn't know if I was going to get there
before they closed, so they were suppose to park the car in front with
the key in the ash tray with the car locked. I get there, the car is
unlocked and the keys are not in the ash tray. Errrr (I guess it is
pretty hard to lock your keys in the car without another key, I'll let
this one pass also). So I go inside (I did make it before they closed)
wait 5 minutes before someone helps me. It's the same guy I've been
dealing with all along, and he swears that the key is in the ash tray. I
tell him it's not. Then he says something like "Oh it's not IN the ash
tray it's in the compartment below the ash tray, I shoved them in back".
Sure enough the key was there. OK, maybe I should have looked there, but
it was dark and I just wanted to get out of there.

Now I'm driving home, and I'm wondering why I can't see the settings for
my fan, or the temp. knob. Turns out that one of the bulbs behind them
is out! Actually, there is a short or something, because it came back on
for a few minutes then went out again. Is this something I can try and
fix myself, or do I need to take it back to this dealer and have them
mess with my car some more? I really don't want to go back there. The
only reason I used them in the first place is that they are close to
home. I guess I would have to some how remove the panel to get back
there. Is that pretty easy? and how is it done? Any help would be
appreciated.

Any body else have this much trouble with their air-bag recall service?
BTW, the dealer is Cutrubus Motors in Layton, Utah. Their service
department sucks, if you can't tell. My fiancé has her VW serviced there
and she hates them too.
