Lifting was the direct cause of Paul Beaurain's encounter with the marshall's
post at Castle Coombe - he was sliding out and had the outside wheels on the
grass at the time.

He plans to hold a 'transfer day' in late spring, when we'll all trog down and
help him unbolt all the bits from the banana-shaped one and bolt them to his
new body shell. Having had a good look at the remains in daylight, we suspect
that quite a lot of things have been bent that weren't at first thought to be
damaged.

(The passenger's armrest reached the parking brake.)

The 'new' body shell came without fenders, bonnet, etc. Given the degree of
distortion to the body (one of the fenders on the _opposite_ side to the
impact is toast, I strongly suspect that the subframes at least will be
bent. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the suspension and transmission
components were junk.
