The connector is probably a standard AMP-type connector. Assuming
it is, you can buy new plug inserts, cut the old wires, crimp
the plug inserts onto the new ends, and insert them into the plug.

This is common practice in electronics. It would look perfectly
new, except the wires will be an inch shorter.

Do not use any sealant on the threads. I think there may have
been a washer there, but I doubt it. Both of mine just screwed
in and have never leaked.
