ECU's & Things

Hi Phill, Scott and everyone,

    I have a 200T with a KC 2.2 Europe engine + MAC05 ECU. From what I can
see, there is NO ECU control for the wastegate, so what I was wondering is
if I put a shim or bigger spring in, can I bypass the fuel pump cut-off from
the ECU by grounding pin 22 (the fuel pump relay control). Is the fuel pump
and cold start valve designed to have continuous power or is there a
pressure sensor or some thing that turns the fuel pump off?

just a thought (I fancy a little more oooooomph  from Santa this year <g>)
