SP8000 on ice are suicidal, quattro or no quattro. I've tried them on ice
and 2" of snow and that was_one_horrible experience.

Also I think chains are a bad idea on a quattro. And a PITA to put on and
take off everytime. Let alone the clank-clank-clank driving.

I have just received from G&G a full set of 195/65/15 Hakkapeliitta NRW H
for my buddie's '96 850 Turbo.

The same exact set faithfully serves on my '89 200TQ already for the 3rd
season in a row.

A set of 205/55/16 Hakka1 is on order for my coming '98 A4TQ.

Paraphrasing the famous credit card motto:
Nokia snow tires! Don't leave home without them.
