RE: My "new" Audi
Which proves that Lada was still the best car manufactured in communist
countries.
My parent's Polish Fiat 125 needed new engine at 30000km and had _lot_
of rust being 6 years old. Their next car, rear-engined Skoda 120 needed
new timing chain at 9000km (!!!) and we had to add oil every 100km. And
this car was export version brought from Finland. My uncle's Lada Samara
1500, on the other side, made over 100000km with no serious problems and
the ride quality and performance were quite impressive, especially
considering that the car was very cheap.
BTW, since we already are off-topic and talk Russian cars (sorry for
wasted BW): does anyone from our Russian or Russian-American contingent
know when the new Volga 3105 is scheduled to enter production? From what
I've heard, this car is going to have 3.5l V8 engine and full-time AWD
(!). I've seen the pictures of the prototypes and it looks quite
impressive. Any ideas how much is it going to cost?
