Re: 5 valve Audi 5 cyl engines

I know IMSA can sometimes be lax in enforcing its rules -- I remember one
race where the chief tech guy got up on a chair in front of everyone, held
up a copy of the rules (basically two photocopied pages!) and said "I've got
a lot to do this weekend. Please make sure we don't catch you cheating" --
but I'm hard-pressed to believe that Audi could have gotten away with an
extra valve without *somebody* noticing. Is this first or secondhand
knowledge you have (not that I doubt you, of course; just want to make sure
my historical perspective on these cars is as accurate as possible)?
