First, my compliments to Brother Brian!  That sounds like a *nifty* project!!

But, alas, Brother Brian forgets that VW used the term "Syncro" for both
the Quattro system used in the Quantum Syncro; and the viscous system, used
in the Vannagon Syncro and the Rallaye Golf.

I know, I know.  Picky, picky, picky...
