Unsettled sensor and bum bomb

I have one small query 'bout the 5kq.  I have the 'groan' from the brake when applied
(narrowed
down to left front), and on going through the archives, this seems to be a maladjusted
sensor for the
ABS, i.e. the ABS is making some adjustment.  The brake light doesn't come on every time
this
happens, ABS light never comes on.  Brakes hold, pedal is not hard (had to to a 'panic
stop' with
ABS 'on' for someone coming in the opposite direction who decided to turn left into
their driveway
right in front of me on a wet road.  ABS worked well in that situation).  Without
applying brakes the
brake light will also light up on occasion and then go out after some time.  Fluids in
question are
good as related to brake light.  I would go right at the sensor adjustment, but the
light coming on
intermittently has me fooled.  With ABS 'off' brake light will still come on
intermittently.  Perhaps two things occurring simultaneously.  An unsettled sensor and a
bum bomb.  Any input is
appreciated.
