Re: Pikes Peak 98'!!!!!

... would I like to do it again? You betcha! ... :)

The possibility of a driving event makes me start to rethink my
stand though ... If I were to do it again and we couldn't round
up more of a caravan like that of the Eastern contingent I must
say that I'd be more likely to fly out there rather than drive. Yes,
I really did enjoy the drive this year, but I really feel that I missed
out on a lot of the cameraderie due to the fact that we got there
late on the evening of the third and we had to book early on the
morning of the fifth. Perhaps with Natalie nearing 2 by that time
we might be able to turn it into more of a family vacation. It might
even be good to plan for things for others to do off the hill if there
are a lot of other family members that will be there ... I did have
one thought along those lines ... Is the cog rail running that day?
If so it would be possible to take it to the finish line ... and people
could leave at any time the rail went down ... all the vehicles in
the event will be stuck up there until the end, I wonder if they let
the spectators check them out and talk to the racers?

My recommendation is to tell the PP folks to reserve our spot
at Devil's Playground for next year!

I have been kicking around the idea of going to Steamboat with
Dan Bocek ... AAMOF I even have a set of snows lined up for
me there if I do decide to go. Perhaps I should discuss my
thinking with the wife ... gonna be pretty touchy methinks ...
