Yes - _extreme_ care in removing.  The fitting is plastic, and just waiting for 
you to be heavy-handed.  Don't even try to undo the old clamp - the torque 
required on a rusted clamp is beyond what the fitting will stand.  Cut off the 
screw that tightens the clamp with a small hacksaw.  If it's leaking there, the 
hose should slide off with no problems.
