RE: tranny noise - more horror
Q -
Well, I talked to the guy at the shop (Benz Den in Belmont, MA). Says when he pulled the drain plug on the tranny, there were pieces of a bearing cage stuck to it. After they revived me with some cold water and smelling salts, he said they would have to pull it, open it and take a look to know exactly what the deal was. $$$$$$$
So, I'm resigned to having the tranny pulled. Is there something else I should replace while the box is out of the car? Clutch maybe? If it would be cheaper now, I guess I should do it.
Thanks,
Rob Winchell
