Rare Auto Union V16 to be Displayed at L.A. Auto Show

Bollocks[TM].
 
It didn't compete - it made a few practice runs but they found water in
the oil and decided not to run it in the actual trials.  Then the S1 set
a new world record for a timing belt failure at around 200 miles, and 
there was a frantic 200-mile dash to get a competition Sport so that Audi
would have _something_ to run.  And then the heavens opened just as 
Michele was leaving the line, and you almost can't see the car on the 
videos.

Maybe AoA have been eating some of our T-bone steaks.
