Oil in air intake

Changed air filter in my '88 5kcsqw for the first time last night (don't
worry - I've only had the car 3 months).  Found a nice film coating of
oil inside air intake hoses/pipe between filter and turbo.  I suspect I
know what this means.

Do I have the option of replacing seals - rebuild my existing turbo?
How long do I likely have before disaster ensues??

FWIW, the car has approx. 110k miles (speedo/odo broken), and I switched
to synthetic oil when I bought it.
