Hi Folks,
    I spoke with Bill today about the 800 number difficulties. We then
spoke with the General Manager about the problem It turns out that the 800
number is set up to only work in NY state. Bill suggested that if people
are calling long-distance, they use the regular number. When the phone is
answered, ask for Bill Banks. Tell him that your from the Q-list, give him
your number and he will call you back. 
Sounds good for now?  The number again is (518) 374-9161 or (518) 372-6441
or 1-800 NEW AUDI for NY state calls. Bill said he is going to look into
changing the set-up of the 800 number.  
    
     Gerard.. I spoke with Bill about your situation. I'm sending you an
e-mail with a part #, Your US$ cost retail, and your cost should you choose
to buy it from Langan. He said that he'd be willing to arrange for shipping
to S. Africa (a first). 

Just as an aside, I'm not really here to act as an representative of Langan
motors for sales of parts or cars. However, b/c Gerard is inquiring from S.
Africa.. I'm going the extra mile.
